A charity auction breakfast that raised $46,543 for The Ottawa Hospital also brought a surprise honour for Kent Browne, owner of Royal LePage Team Realty and Royal LePage Gale Real Estate. The United Way of Ottawa honoured Browne with the Community Builder Award to recognize the wide range of causes that Browne has contributed to over the years. These projects range from shelters for abused women to programs for the homeless and children in need.

Browne’s name will be added to the Scotiabank Community Builder Wall of Inspiration, which is a permanent display at the Ottawa City Hall.

In addition, a soon-to-be-completed expansion of the Ottawa Hospital Breast Health Centre will include a room to be named The Royal LePage Mammography Room.

  1. Having worked for Kent Browne for some l5 years with Royal LePage in Ottawa I cannot imagine anyone more deserving of this award . Although I have been out of the area now for 11 years I will never forget the strong friendship and guidance provided by Kent. From day one Kent always put his family first, his community second and his business success was a direct result of his vision of never forgetting to “give back”. Congratulations Kent. An inspiration for the community but also an inspiration to all who fall under his umbrella at Royal Lepage Team Realty. Way to go!!!
